Did You Know There's Still College Football Being Played?

You, much like me, might be surprised to find out there are still College Football games being played. Though we should qualify the statement by saying they are "All-Star" games.

Unbeknownst to me---and probably many of you, the 93rd Annual "East-West Shrine Game" was played this past Saturday in St. Petersburg, Florida at Tropicana Field in front of some scouts--but mostly empty seats.

Barrett didn't exactly light things up either after going 5 for 12 with 69 yards passing and a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in the 1st quarter. (Which should also tell just how awful this game was)

And....on Sunday, the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl was played in California. (No, I'm not making this up)....And apparently the game went for at least a half without anyone scoring. Although there were not exactly a lot of people in the stands chomping at the bit for action either....

Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, Wyoming QB and prospect Josh Allen, Shaquem Griffin from UCF other top-flight prospects will actually play in this game.

And with it being in Mobile--where not much else happens outside College Football....there may actually be people/fans in attendance.
