So, LSU has a bit of a problem. Going into Saturday's Homecoming game vs. Troy--the Tigers weren't too badly off. 3-1 and Ranked 25th. Yes, they had a loss to Mississippi State, but any problems hadn't totally been exposed.
Until Saturday night.
The Tigers were beaten 24-21 in Death Valley in front of a stunned Homecoming audience by the Troy Trojans--a good, but not great Sun Belt Conference team in a game that really wasn't as close as the score indicated.
It started bad---a lost fumble on the 1st play of the game by 3rd string RB Nick Brossette who inexplicably started the game and it never got much better.
Troy's Jordan Chunn was the difference make. The Senior Running Back ran for 191 yards on 30 carries and a touchdown while LSU turned the ball over 4 times on the night.
By the time the game wound down---there were not many "Bayou Bengals" left in the stadium to watch the Tigers desperately try and come back...
Not a good look....or explanation....
Meanwhile---the Trojans celebrated all night long and were ever the polite guest by thanking LSU after the game for inviting them to Homecoming. And the $1 million or so payout for being the visiting team....
