Spike This! UCLA Scores 35 Points in 19 Minutes to Beat Reeling Texas A&M
Crazy things happen at the beginning of College Football seasons. UCLA's come-from-behind win over Texas A&M Sunday night could arguably be called the craziest.
After being dominated by the Aggies for nearly 3 Quarters--the lightbulb suddenly clicked for QB Josh Rosen and Coach Jim Mora's team. Trailing 44-10 with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd, the Bruins reeled off 35 straight points--including the game winning TD with 44 seconds left on a "Fake Spike" play by Rosen who lofted a perfect 10-yard pass to Jordan Lasley in the end zone.
UCLA left the Rose Bowl with a crazy 45-44 win. (Thanks PAC 12 Networks for the video)
Rather it was the defense(s) that were the problem. UCLA turned the ball over 3 times via fumble and A&M was able to capitalize early---but down the stretch--Rosen suddenly was unstoppable and John Chavis's Aggie defense was helpless....
Rosen finished the night with 491 yards passing and 4 TD's as Jim Mora's bunch starts their season with a win.
The A&M boosters---who've already made it known their displeasure with Kevin Sumlin---who's by the way elevated them to a level they'd never been at before. One Board of Regents member went so far as to go on a Social Media rant about it--calling for Sumlin...and Chavis's head....
If anyone ever questioned whether College Football is a Sports played for the students or a business played for Boosters/Regents/Executives...this should answer your question immediately.
I just wonder what they'd say if the Aggies suddenly ran the table and were 11-1??
