Mets Fans and Cardinals Announcers Destroy Foul Ball Catching Chris Christie

Stopping short of a "Political Statement" here, it appears New Jersey Governor Chris Christie may be the most hated person in the Northeastern United States.
Tuesday night the Governor found himself in a second row dugout level seat for the game between the New York Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field. And somehow a foul ball found its way directly to the Governor--who made a one-hop grab.
Things then took a turn for the worse. Much worse....
Once the Mets faithful realized via the Replay screen who it was catching the ball---the boos started immediately. No, not a few of them---and no mistaking the noise---they were roundly booing.
To make things worse---the Cardinals announcers couldn't resist a shot at the highly unpopular legislator--making a pointed joke about him coming to the game after spending time at the beach.....
Now we will give Christie some credit--he did give the ball to a nearby kid as is baseball tradition. But getting roundly booed and slammed by the visiting team broadcasters in the 3rd inning of a game. Oooof....
For what it is worth---he did a better job fielding baseballs than the Mets who committed 3 errors in a 5-0 loss to the Cardinals.
Makes me wonder if Christie is this generations Schleprock??
