NPSL West Region May 10-16 Review Preview


The NPSL Is Off And Running

Time to check in on the regions since everyone is either playing for real or is getting ready through Open Cup play to get things moving in the win and loss column...

Only one match in the Golden Gate Conference last weekend as Napa Valley and Sacramento Gold tied at twos... Catch the match, thanks to our friends at VHS Broadcasting here...

This week, Napa hosts the East Bay Stompers and the Gold host CD Aguiluchos. Sonoma County has the week off. Aguiluchos are undefeated in their first 6 matches (18 points). The Sol and the Gold are at 8 points. Napa have three draws in their first 6 matches and East Bay has 1 point so far.

In the Northwest, the expanded 6 team conference gets underway this weekend with two matches- PDX FC hosts OSA FC and Pierce County FC hosts FCM Portland. Kitsap Soccer Club and Spokane Soccer Club Shadow are also in their first seasons.

The Southwest Conference has nine teams this season, and it's already a battle at the top. Three teams are undefeated in their first 8 matches- FC Arizona, Riverside Coras (20 points), and Orange County FC (18 points). The next group of four is separated by only four points- Albion SC has 12, Oxnard Guerreros and Temecula FC have 10, and SoCal SC has 8. SC Corinthians USA has 2 points and City of Angels FC has 1 point in their first 8 matches.
