Anthony Joshua takes down Wladimir Klitschko with huge uppercut
For at least one night, Professional Boxing actually was fun to watch and reminded some of us of a certain age why it was a big deal in our childhood.
Fast rising young star and undefeated fighter Anthony Joshua completed his rise to the top late Saturday night by knocking out 41-year old Wladimir Klitschko in a heavyweight title fight in London.
Joshua (19-0) had never been knocked down before in a fight nor gone more than 7 rounds---until Saturday night. And by the end of the 7th round, he showed signs he was running out of gas.
But in front of 90,000-plus screaming fans at Wembley Stadium---Joshua got a "2nd wind" and eventually took caught the taller and much more experienced Klitschko with one of the cleanest and strongest uppercuts you'll ever see....
Yes, Klitschko's head was in possibly the most vulnerable position it could possibly be. It was the 1st time the 41-year old former champ had been knocked out since 2004 and may very well signal the end of the line for the Ukranian who has been the Heavyweight "King of the Ring" for the past 15-plus years.
