When All-Star Games Go Sideways...

It's that time of year...

When the landscape is littered with all-star games in college and high school football and kids that may not have had an opportunity to showcase themselves have the chance about a month before the original National Signing Day or draft combines...

Well, there's one game that didn't get that chance...

A game between groups of Georgia and Florida all-stars got to the third quarter before this happened...

The game, obviously, was called at that point...

FOSG Todd Holcomb has details from game founder Jamael Stewart in an article in the AJC

The event’s founder, Jamael Stewart, said the fighting began with a single punch after pass play.

“The thing that set everything off — one of the [Florida] receivers made a nice block on one of the players, and the player got up and didn’t like it, from Georgia, and threw a punch,” Stewart told Adam Lichtenstein of the Palm Beach Post. “That’s what opened everything up.”

The game puts athletes from the Palm Beach County area in Florida area against a squad from around the state of Georgia...
