The NCAA has decided to pile on to the sanctions already in place for the Ole Miss football program- adding another year of bowl ban and eliminating 13 scholarships from the football operations.
The university had already put a bowl ban in place and knocked off 11 scholarships in a four-year period from 2015 to 2018.
Former head football coach Hugh Freeze was given a 2-game conference coaching ban (only applicable to another head coaching position) and coaches named in the Notice of Allegations all received show-cause penalties ranging from 2 years to 8 years.
Ole Miss has also agreed to forfeit post-season revenues from the Southeastern Conference which could cost the school close to $8-million.

If there's an upside, seniors can transfer without having to sit out a year to play in 2018...
