While You Slept: Stanford Escapes Oregon State with Nailbiting Win

Without star RB Bryce Love--Stanford didn't look much like a team capable of winning the Pac 12 Conference. They travelled to Corvallis, Oregon to square off with an Oregon State team who lost their coach and have lost most of their games---but willing to put up a fight.
Stanford beat Oregon State 15-14 in um....an ugly game that wasn't settled until Stanford QB Keller Chryst lofted a 3-yard TD pass to WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside in the corner of the end zone with just 30 seconds left n the game.
The Cardinal would try for a 2-point conversion and fail but in the end it didn't matter.
The game featured neither team capable of mounting any offense of note, missed field goals and a handful of turnovers on a night that anyone watching likely fell asleep. Love--a Heisman Trophy candidate sat out the game after injuring his ankle and its obvious how much Stanford relies on him to carry the day.
The win does move The Cardinal to 6-2 on the season...5-1 and a 1/2 game lead in the Pac 12 North. Oregon State drops to 1-7 on the season, 0-5 in the conference.
