What Deluge? Michigan State Upsets Michigan in Downpour

Arguably the "Showcase" TV College Football game Saturday night was played for at least a half in a torrential downpour and produced a heck of an upset.

The Michigan State Spartans pulled off an "Extra Large" upset in Michigan's "Big House", a little wet for the effort but winners never the less 14-10. The win was Michigan State's 8th in the last 10 games between the two schools.

The game itself was not pretty. The Wolverines were however their own worst enemies, turning over the ball 5 times and committing a ton of silly penalties.

The heavy rain--which began at the beginning of the 3rd quarter slowed down the already slow game, but the Spartans were able to make QB Brian Lewerke's running TD and passing TD stand up.
