Clemson FB Staff Swim River To Help Accident Victim

((HT: Tigernet.com/WYFF))

The first words out of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney's mouth below are pretty accurate...

The details if you don't want to listen to the whole thing...

Clemson is about to dismiss football practice for the day. The team hears a crash. They look and see a car has gone down an embankment across from their practice facility.

The players want to swim the river and help out, but the team allows only those qualified to help to do so...

As it turns out, the driver of the car in need of help is someone Swinney and his family have known since the driver was 8 years old...

Clary Miles, who helps out in the football office, is recovering from injuries in hospital, and his mother Paula Miles released a statement:

“I want to tell everyone how grateful we are to everyone associated with the Clemson football program that helped my son. I am especially grateful for those trainers and managers and others who swam to help Clary and get him out of the car. Thomas Austin (graduate assistant coach) rode in the ambulance with him to the hospital and that was so comforting. I am just so glad my son is alive.”

Can't make this stuff up...
