Who are the Online Sports Guys?
The OSG are four guys who've spent more time than we can count working in, around or near sports. We've been with the teams, the individuals, and the events that comprise competition and have a soft spot for sharing it with others.
We're primarily based in the Metro Atlanta Georgia area. Our site has been around in various incarnations for a few years in a couple of different locations. And what sets us apart is our perspective--sometimes serious, sometimes funny and sometimes in detail and depth you don't get from other blogs.
The team:
@osgphil: A long time, award winning Sports Producer and Video Journalist, Phil has spent time on the field, in the locker and in a control room bringing stories home. He's been a big part of shooting and producing College, Professional and Local Sports coverage in several major cities.
@osgnelson: Jon is our resident esoteric Sports fanatic who brings his own take to Soccer, Hockey and Canadian Sports (No, he's not Canadian). Jon too is a long time, award winning Sports Reporter and Producer who is widely considered an expert and historian on High School Football in the State of Georgia
@osgjdub: J-Dub is the "Carolinas Bureau" for the OSG. J-Dub knows his sigh school sports better than most and is a former college football player. He's also the public address announcer for the Buies Creek (NC) Astros, the MiLB Carolina League single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. If the story is in the Mid-Atlantic, chances are he's your expert.
@jwilkerson16: Wilkie is "Mr ACC". His knowledge and experience Producing and Reporting on Sports in multiple cities provides him connections in most of the U.S. A hockey fanatic who also loves--and coaches baseball and basketball, Wilkie often provides the "Behind the Scenes" knowledge and information for many of our stories.
